Sandi’s School of Dance Studio Policies and Waiver

Registration

Online registration is for students under the age of 18 and adults over the age of 18 enrolling in classes. Tuition is required for all students under the age of 18. While we do recommend adults enroll for the adult classes, we do offer a drop-in rate of $20 to attend class. Tuition or drop-in fees must be paid prior to the start of the class. Please note you must re-enroll for classes each season. Enrollment does not carry over from season to season.

If we are forced to close due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to weather cancellations, hurricanes, epidemics, states of emergency, etc.), we will try to make-up classes. Please understand that we cannot be responsible for acts of Mother Nature or other unforeseen circumstances. Class cancellations do not affect your monthly tuition.

Enrollment

Enrollment in a class or classes requires full payment of a non-refundable $37 registration fee ($62 per family) for Fall/Spring classes. Sandi’s School of Dance (SSOD) reserves the right to cancel any class due to/or as a result of insufficient enrollment, inclement weather, or additional circumstances deemed necessary by ownership. There is no registration fee for Summer classes.

Insufficient enrollment is defined as any classes that has less than 4 students enrolled. Students will be offered an opportunity to transfer to another class, if available, if there is a case of insufficient enrollment.

Tuition

Tuition is paid monthly from August through May for Fall/Spring classes and June through July for Summer classes. Tuition is paid monthly to hold a student’s place in a class or classes and must be paid regardless of the student’s attendance each month. Some months will have five weeks of class while others have less; however, monthly tuition will remain the same. Tuition has been determined for the entire studio year and divided into monthly payments. Please remember you will not be sent a statement. Since tuition is paid for the space in the class, please do not ask for a reduction.

Tuition will be drafted on the 1st of each month. All accounts are required to have a valid card on file for autopay. If you wish to pay in cash, please submit the payment to our front desk admin before the 1st to avoid your card being drafted. Your account is considered past due if not paid by the close of business on the 10th of the month. A $10 late fee per student will automatically be billed to all late accounts on the 11th of each month. If tuition becomes two months delinquent, the credit card on file will automatically be charged. If the card is declined, the student is subject to removal from classes.

Payments

For your convenience, you may have a credit card on file to be debited monthly for tuition and other fees including costume and recital fees. You are required to provide a credit card to secure the account. SSOD reserves the right to apply any unpaid tuition or past-due fees to the card on file. We cannot split auto-draft payments between multiple cards; however, you can make advanced payments on your parent portal at your convenience.

Holidays

We follow most of the Waxahachie ISD schedule for holidays and are closed accordingly. However, we are open for teacher in-service days. If you have any doubts, please call or check our social media/webpage for the most up-to-date information.

The Fall/Spring 2024-2025 Semester will run August 12 - May 23. As tuition is based on 4 lessons per month, in a 5-classes month the 5th lesson is free. Tuition is not adjusted for holidays, illnesses, or missed classes due to vacation time or personal reasons.

Please remember there is no prorating for holidays.

Costumes

For the winter show and spring recital, a costume for each subject studied is required. Costume fees are non-refundable. You may be asked to purchase ribbons, hosiery, or other accessories at your own expense. We take pride in our show and hope you will, too.

Costumes fees and/or costumes are non-refundable if you drop and/or switch classes in the middle of the season.

Costume measurements are taken in-studio and will be compared to each vendor’s size chart to order the best fit for each dancer. If a size exchange is requested after costumes arrive, there will be an additional $25 fee per exchange request per student. The fees must be paid in full at the time of the exchange request. No exchanges will take place without payment of this additional fee.

Lost and Found

Items lost in the studio are only kept for 30 days. Please check regularly as items are cleaned out and donated monthly. We will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

Safety

We are not responsible for students before and after their designated class time or once they exit the building. Please instruct your child to remain inside the building for the duration of their time before being picked up from Sandi’s School of Dance. Students should be promptly picked up after class. No one under the age of 12 is allowed to leave the building without adult supervision. If you are more than 15 minutes late picking up your dancer, you will be charged $10.

Please note: many of our classes dismiss 5 minutes before the hour.

Dress Code

Please review our class descriptions and attire requirements, available online or at the front desk. Class dress code will be required for winter recital, no exceptions. Without class dress code, dancers will not be permitted to enter the stage.

Withdrawals

Students are continually enrolled in classes from month to month unless 30 days prior written notice is given by emailing Sandi@SandisSchoolofDance.com. If a student wishes to drop any or all of their classes, a 30-day written email notice must be received in our office or the following month’s tuition will still apply. All balances and payments must be current upon receiving written notification from the parent or guardian.

Also, all balances must be up-to-date for students to participate in the recital. Students must also attend rehearsals prior to performance in order to build confidence and help each student experience and appreciate the art of dance and performing. Help us make it a wonderful year-end show.

Sandi’s School of Dance is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or lost or stolen articles in the studio at any time. We hope you and your child enjoy your experience at Sandi’s School of Dance.
