Mother Daughter Hip Hop
The Mother Daughter Hip Hop class is a wonderful opportunity for mothers to spend quality time with their daughters. Together, they will learn a dance and perform during the Spring Recital on May 17, 2025.
Dancers must be 7 years of age by January 1, 2025 in order to participate in this year’s mother/daughter hip-hop performance.
Please read the following information very carefully before committing to the 2025 Mother Daughter Hip Hop:
The non-refundable fee to participate is $99 (includes all rehearsals/choreograhy). The fee can be deducted automatically from your tuition account. This fee is non-refundable, so make sure to review the rehearsal dates + times before signing up.
Dancers must be 7 years of age by January 1, 2025 to participate.
The Mother Daughter Hip Hop is great fun, but it also involves memorizing choreography and several hours of rehearsals. If you have any physical conditions, please check with your doctor and contact us before you register.
There are 5 rehearsals on the following (tentative**) dates:
January 11, February 1, March 1, April 12, May 3
**We try not to change the rehearsal schedule, but this is “show biz” and circumstances beyond our control sometimes cause schedule changes.
If the schedule is adjusted, we will provide at least 24 hours notice.
We will communicate with Mother Daughter Hip Hop participants via email on file. If you do not have email or if you never check your email, please prepare now for email communication.

At SSOD, we believe in creating positive experiences and lasting memories. The Mother Daughter Hip Hop performance is an experience that will last a lifetime! Spending time at rehearsal and working through choreography with your daughter is never time wasted. The memories of class, in fact, are as significant as performing the actual dance on stage in front of an audience. Try to remember this if you feel confused, frustrated and tired during rehearsal. This time with your daughter is for you and your daughter... it is unique, important and very special.
All rehearsals are “Closed Rehearsals”, meaning friends and family may not watch the mother daughter rehearsals.
All moms must know and memorize the following information in order to be placed in the correct cast. This information will be given to you on or before your first rehearsal
What recital is your daughter in?
What date is the recital?
What time is the recital?
Where is the recital?
What is the name of the dance that your daughter is performing in her regular weekly class?
We realize that many moms travel out of town on business, however rehearsal attendance is very important. You may miss only one rehearsal and you should try not to miss any of the last three rehearsals, which is when actual on-stage placements occur. Unfortunately, we are unable to alter the rehearsal schedule to accommodate individual travel plans, illness, vacation etc.

*Grandmas, aunts, big sisters, cousins, friends, and guardians are invited to perform if a dancer’s mother is absent or otherwise unable to perform. If you have a different unique situation, send us an email and we’ll figure out a way to make your dreams of performing with your dancer come true.
